Garden of Hope Montessori was founded in 2000 by a group of dedicated parents who whole-heartedly believe in the Montessori Method. By fostering independence, confidence, and social character, it is our hope that each child will become a capable, contributing member of his or her community, with a distinctive voice that can make a difference in this world.
Our well-trained staff (which includes an AMI trained Guide, a classroom assistant, and support staff) works in partnership with parents to provide an experience for children that will prepare them for life. The children are free to work individually or in small groups in order to learn from one another. Then, at the end of the day, we close our morning program with a gathering in which all children are invited to participate.
Because of the time, talent, and resources of many, we are fortunate to spend our days in a beautiful, cozy and earth-friendly classroom located near the Normandy Park Education Center in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. The facility's fenced-in outdoor environment enables children to safely explore, play and commune with nature, and the nearby Early Childhood Family Education Center lends us the use of a large motor-skills development room.
